The birth of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, was monumental for us children of God. He was sent and lived and died for our sins, so that we could be rescued from the ultimate penalty of sin.
The Bible makes one thing clear - there will be an ultimate Judgement Day, in which all, both dead and alive, will be judged according to their sins and faith. Are you prepared for that? With things going on in the world, what side are you on? Are you participating in destructive activity, or do you turn to Christ to find the answers?
When we have Faith in Jesus, and follow His commands, we can overcome sin. We must put full Faith in Him, pray, and take action. Are there things in your life that you do that you know are wrong, or that you shouldn't be doing? Things that need to be cleaned up, because they are not in line with His command?
Take it one day at a time. For me, personally, when I got saved, it was like a brick wall crashing down. Suddenly, so many dots were connected that I didn't notice before. So many things that I was doing was actually against the Word. No matter how insignificant they seemed, they all mattered. I prayed ALOT, and read my Bible daily, and made a point to start from front to back, and cleaned these things up in my life one at a time.
The old saying goes, "You can't build the ship overnight.", can apply here. God does not want us to beat ourselves up:
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, God says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Rather, He wants us to have strong Faith:
Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done."
Jesus came to save us. He is very forgiving, and He loves us and will never forsake us, if only we could turn our hearts and minds to Him.
He really, truly works. I can attest personally, and I would hope that some reading this who have known me, know that I would not just say this, and that all of this, my website, my blod, my upcoming book, is done to spread His great name and to hopefully reach people and tell them how great He is, and how He can change your life, if you only would give it to Him, confess Him as your Lord and Savior, and truly examine your life to His command and see what you can do differently to be more Christ-like in your actions and how you treat others.
I still struggle myself, yes. But it is a continuing journey. Something on my mind this week is helping others more and going out of my way when I can.
Remember, Jesus was sent to be our Savior. God will judge us all. His judgement will either be satisfied through Christ on our behalf, or will be satisfied with the price we pay for our own sins after our life is over.
God is completely perfect and alltogether Holy. He is completely Sin free. We all honestly deserve eternal separation from God, because it is impossible for us to live completely sin free and perfect. Even with strong Faith, none of us are perfect and we still sin daily. God knew this and sent His Son to be our Lord and Savior, so that through diligent Faith in Him we could repent and achieve salvation, and be forgiven our sins.
If Judgement Day was tomorrow, are you prepared to be seated across from Jesus and be judged according to your faith, sins and actions? Are you absolutely sure that you are on the correct side of things?
